How We Got Started
As a native of Pennsylvania’s Main Line area, James Texada returned home after receiving his degree in Landscape Architecture and knew he wanted to pursue a career in residential landscape construction. After working in the field James saw a need for a more personalized product development, quality installation/management, and customer service. James took it upon himself to fill a growing need in his community and started his own company in 2001 and Texada Landscaping Inc. has been growing ever since!
Our Team
Owner: James Texada, graduated top of his class at Louisiana State University earning the Dean’s Medal in Landscape Architecture. In addition, James won the ASLA Honor and merit awards, construction award, technology award and several other awards relating to his field. James is a true hands on owner, from meeting with clients, designing and pricing projects, acquiring project materials and project construction and implementation.
Landscape Architect: Lisa Pond, RLA, ASLA, received her Bachelor of Landscape Architecture (BLA) degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge which has an established international reputation as one of America’s leading and consistently top-ranked programs. She is a Landscape Architect licensed in the state of Pennsylvania and CLARB certified. Upon graduating from LSU, Lisa relocated to the Philadelphia area to work for a landscape architecture firm which specializes in master planning, recreational planning, land planning, community redevelopment and garden design. Lisa recognized her passion for residential design, specifically planting and hardscape design, and joined the design-build company Texada Landscaping, Inc.. As principal landscape architect she designs and manages projects from the initial design phase through to construction completion. Her vast knowledge in plants and construction has provided the highest quality of creative and diverse landscape designs and outdoor spaces to her clients for the past 20 years. She also works closely with other local Landscape Architects in the bidding and installation of local projects along the Main Line, Chester and Delaware Counties. Lisa is also a member of the property committee of the Riverbend Environmental Educational Center.
Superindentent: Rodolfo Vega-Reyes, has been with Texada Landscaping for the past 20 years and has worked in the industry for over 30 years. You will rarely meet an individual with more hands on experience than Rodolfo. His experience covers almost every possible type of landscape construction that can be performed. In addition to his many physical skills, Rodolfo is bilingual with perfect masterly of both Spanish and the English language. All work and schedules are met under his supervision.
